Privacy Policy

The short version

EduPacket's tools run entirely in your web browser. We have no accounts, no sign-ups, and no server that receives your worksheets. The words, names, and lists you type into our tools are never uploaded to us, never stored by us, and never sold or shared, because they never reach us in the first place. The only data this site handles in the ordinary way of the web is basic technical information (described below) and advertising cookies set by Google, which are also described below, in plain language.

What you type stays on your device

When you paste a word list into the Packet Maker, the worksheet and its PDF are generated by code running in your browser tab, on your own computer. No copy of your list is transmitted to EduPacket or to anyone else. The "share link" feature encodes your list and settings into the link itself; that information travels only when and where you send the link, and it is never sent to our servers when someone opens it, because the part of the link holding your list (everything after the # symbol) is not transmitted to web servers by browsers.

What is collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs for a short period for security and reliability. These can include your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors, build profiles, or track anyone across the web. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: it reports aggregate numbers (for example, how many people visited a page), uses no cookies, and does not identify individual visitors.

Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

EduPacket will be supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. That involves cookies, and Google requires us to tell you the following, which is true of this site:

Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom will be shown a consent message, managed through Google's consent message - a Google-certified consent management platform built on the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework - before personalized advertising is served, and can choose non-personalized ads instead. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools on this site work the same with cookies blocked.

Children's privacy

EduPacket is written for adults: teachers, homeschoolers, and parents preparing materials for children. The site is not directed at children, does not offer games or activities for children to use directly, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our tools process everything locally in the adult user's browser, children's names typed into a tool (for example, a class list) are never transmitted to us at all.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply. We do not add correspondents to marketing lists. Please do not send us children's names or class lists; see the note on our contact page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Changes that affect how advertising works will be described here in the same plain language.
